Draw Cars

draw carsDraw Cars – It’s Easier Than You Think

Is this like that old joke… Herd of cows? Sure I heard of cows!

No?

I don’t know, is it me or does everyone agree that if you can draw, you can probably draw cars and if you can’t draw… ‘nuff said. But sure enough, somebody came out with a book that’s going to teach the drawing impaired individual how to draw cars. And it’s available on Amazon, go figure.

Draw Cars – What will they think of next?

Yes it’s true; for the incredibly low price of $8.95, you too can be an automobile artist. It’s actually made for ages 9 through 12, (or if you’re a really lousy artist at it) and claims to offer hours of fun while giving its reader real instruction. If you have some type of fascination with cars, it states that its sequential approach and organization makes it’s a cinch to follow. It is illustrated precisely (yes, I would hope so) with black and white photos and detailed pencil drawings along with its text. The author anticipates your possible mistakes and problems and attempts to correct them with a lighthearted humor. All the big makes and models are available from Lamborghinis, to Ferraris, to Corvettes and Porsche just to name a few. This is a how to book with step by step information and drawings of the highest quality. And all for only $8.95… incredible! Just think of it, some people spend years in art school only to achieve the same result.

TLC gets in the act

Once again, step by step instructions will guide you through the process of drawing cool cars and tough trucks. This time we’re told that drawing isn’t as difficult as you think if you break it down into small manageable parts. They even have you drawing with red ink at the very beginning. You can progress to crayons and markers eventually for added color. The makers of this publication have gone on to publish ‘how to draw planes, how to draw dinosaurs’ and ‘how to draw animals’. Nothing specific, just animals. By using rulers for a straight edge and tracing around the edges of a coin for wheels and tires, this book has you creating whatever car or truck you could possibly imagine. And by cutting out your creations and pasting them on construction paper, this is all, but guarantees you an art collection of exciting vehicles. I’m practically giddy at the thought.

I’ve no doubt that with the right course, materials, mindset and instructor; almost anyone could be taught to draw cars. How much time that would require would obviously depend on the skill, or lack thereof, of the person being taught. How great the car would eventually look would have a lot to do with that as well. With a box and two circles even the most sketch challenged individual can put something together on paper that looks like a car. That doesn’t mean they drew a car. But if you would like to draw cars, and your skills fall just short of Van Gogh, why not pick up one of these little helpers and see if you can design the next wonder of the automotive industry?
